Dance with me?

Writing is a lot like dancing.

You know those people who think they can dance, but they really just get out on the dance floor and make a fool of themselves? Like this:

Well, a lot of writers do the same thing without even realizing it.

They think writing is just a matter of having talent. So, they get out there and do their "thing."

And there's nothing wrong with that if you're just having fun.

But if you want to be paid?

You need to learn "writing choreography."

See, dancers go through years of training, starting with learning basic steps for their genre and then eventually stringing those steps together into an entire choreographed routine.

The result:

Here's why I bring this up:

The most common question my students ask is, "Am I a good enough writer?"

They think it's a matter of natural talent… and they wonder if they have what it takes.

But professional writing is mostly about getting trained.

You need to learn the basic "steps" that go into writing a good article, and then you learn to combine those steps into different "routines."

Watch this to see what I mean:

This Is How to Find out If You're a Good Enough Writer

Also, watch your email tomorrow. I'm going to send you an invitation to a group I'm putting together for up-and-coming writers where you can learn how to write professionally as well as get your first client. I'd love to have you with us.

Intrigued?

I hope so. Talk with you soon.

Talk soon,

Jon
