In this issue of the Smart Blogger Weekly Newsletter, we're looking at the perfect website copy, writing with humor, and trying not to notice the clowder of cats following us home late at night.
Let's jump in.
RECENTLY: FROM AROUND THE WEB
RECENTLY: FROM SMART BLOGGER
Last week, we published one brand-new Smart Blogger post...
...and updated, gosh, a dozen or so "classic" posts. Here's a sampling:
NOT SO RECENTLY
DEAL OF THE WEEK
A few years ago, Jon wrote a post that said most web hosting companies were awful. And he wasn't speaking in general terms either -- Jon actually listed all of the hosts he believed were garbage.
I took a deep breath, scrolled through the list, and, sure enough, I saw the hosting company I used for my own website on Jon's list.
Today, heeding Jon's advice, I use SiteGround.
It's everything Jon said it would be ("like one of those hole-in-the-wall restaurants that's both affordable and really freaking good").

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
A student of numerous Smart Blogger courses, Mel Wicks is a seasoned copywriter and marketing strategist who helps bloggers and entrepreneurs put the 'OMG! Where do I sign up?' oomph to their online marketing. She also writes about the highs and lows of being a nomadic freelance writer on her blog, Ways to Roam.
Mel's written for Smart Blogger several times, but I think my personal favorite is her 31 Writing Podcasts You've GOT to Hear. She listened to over 80 hours of podcast episodes in order to put that bad boy together.
Impressive.
THIS WEEK'S CONTEXT-FREE QUOTE
"You're walking home alone late one night when you realize several cats are stalking you. Then the streetlights go out."
Can you guess which spine-tingling post this quote comes from?
